Herbal Powder Recipe for Animals and Bedding

Ingredients:

• 2 cups baking soda

• 1 cup pennyroyal bud powder

• 1 cup lavender leaf and flower powder

• 5 drops citronella essential oil

• 5 drops pennyroyal essential oil

• 10 drops lemon essential oil

• 5 drops rosemary essential oil

• 10 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Herbs:

• Dry 3 cups each of fresh pennyroyal and lavender herbs.

• Once dried, remove the leaves from the stems.

• Using the Trim Tray, snip and garble the herbs, separating the leaves as you trim.

• Press the cut herbs through the fine mesh screen to create a fine powder.

• Measure 1 cup of pennyroyal powder and 1 cup of lavender powder for the recipe.

2. Mix the Ingredients:

• In a large, clean bowl, combine the baking soda, pennyroyal powder, and lavender powder.

• Stir the dry ingredients until well mixed.

3. Add the Essential Oils:

• Add the citronella, pennyroyal, lemon, rosemary, and lavender essential oils to the dry mixture.

• Using a whisk, thoroughly whisk the mixture until the oils are evenly distributed.

4. Package:

• Transfer the finished herbal powder into shaker-top containers for easy use.

How to Use:

• Sprinkle the herbal powder on animals, carpets, and animal bedding for a fresh, natural scent and protection.
